Things continue to look dire for Kate Middleton‘s return to the Royal spotlight. The Princess of Wales has been away from the public eye since January due to health issues. In mid-March, Kate was forced to go public with her cancer diagnosis after the public raised concerns about her whereabouts. Although the palace has confirmed that she has undergone treatment and is recovering, the world eagerly awaits her return to royal duties. Unfortunately, a source claims it is wishful thinking to believe the princess might make a comeback.
Amid reports Kate is getting better, an insider told US Weekly that her progress doesn’t guarantee her resumption. The source alleged that her team is “reevaluating what she’s going to be able to take on when she comes back.” Essentially, this means “she may never come back in the role that people saw her in before.” The insider’s claim tracks with reports that the mother-of-two won’t attend the prestigious Trooping the Colour ceremony on June 15.
Last month, a representative for Kensington Palace echoed similar words. “We have been really clear that [Kate] needs the space and the privacy to recover right now. She will return to work when she has had the green light from doctors,” the aide explained.
Kate Middleton Is Focused On Family Time Amid Recovery
While the truth about Kate’s return remains shrouded in mystery, the future queen seems to be enjoying her solitude. A second source told the publication that she is spending ample time with her three kids — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. “Kate’s feeling strong enough to be very involved with the kids. She’s been an active parent,” the insider revealed.
