Kate Upton has received praise on Instagram for shutting down period taboo as she models an array of stylish looks while promoting a feminine hygiene product. The Sports Illustrated model updated her account shortly before the weekend, dropping a mash-up video for her fans and showing off her famous figure in summery outfits.
Kicking off in a tennis dress as she stepped out of a luxury vehicle, Kate dedicated her post to Flex’s disposable menstrual discs, and fans were 100% for her breaking down barriers. The wife to Justin Verlander has now gained over 12,000 likes for her Friday share.
Kate Upton Stays Strong With Feminine Instagram Message
Stepping out of a white car parked on a driveway, Kate kicked off her lookbook in a thigh-skimming white minidress bearing the Prada logo on the front. Flaunting her long legs as she rocked white sneakers, the blonde completed her casual look via a pair of shades, wearing her light locks down and slinging a bag over her shoulder.
Fans also saw the mom of one in a partially sheer white skirt and pink sweater, plus a knotted shirt and pants look. Looking perfectly coordinated in all further looks, the star wrote: “Period week outfit inspo when you’re wearing Flex Disc.”
Told She’s Doing Amazing Work
In a caption, Kate wrote: “Some spring outfit inspo.” The model did not, however, clarify whether her post was a paid ad or not. Loving Kate’s energy, one fan sent praise as they wrote: “Seriously, thank you for openly posting about periods as the normal bodily function they are. Products like this are an absolute game changer! If you know, you know!”
One fan claiming to use the Flex Disc replied: “Personally, I love the flex discs it works amazingly. It lasts 12 hours, but on your heavy days, I change it every 3-4 hrs to not cause a leak.” Also thanking the Canada Goose face was a user who said: “Thank you so much for putting this product on my radar! Finally stopped birth control (because eff that BS) and hate regular pads so this is awesome.” Celebrities have slowly been breaking down taboos on social media, although many can still get shamed. Just this year, reality star Kourtney Kardashian had fans shaming her for showing herself with a breast pump following the birth of her fourth son, Rocky.
Kate is followed by 6.7 million people on her Instagram. Celebrity followers include singer Gwen Stefani as well as socialite Paris Hilton.
