Whenever the eye flutters shut, Perry would touch her temple and it would flutter open before closing back again. The musician was not concerned about what was happening with her eye as she continued with her show.

After Perry announced 14 more dates scheduled for her 2023 Las Vegas concert series with the title; Katy Perry: PLAY, she addressed the viral video. The singer explained that the eye glitch was just a part of the show.
In her Instagram post on October 27, she put some hashtags and welcomed people to see her “broken doll eye party trick IRL” in Las Vegas next year. Perry had insinuated that the eye glitch was just one of her party tricks. She added that she even pours “beer out of my tits (that’s a party trick too…”
