Katy Perry has caused fresh drama, and only by enjoying herself with fiancé Orlando Bloom. The 39-year-old singer is now the talk of the town with her new “Woman’s World” single, although fans weren’t discussing her music as new photos showing her enjoying an ocean dip with her fiancé emerged this week.
Enjoying the warm weather in St. Tropez, Katy showed off her weight loss in a two-piece as she cozied up to the Pirates of the Caribbean actor, with close-ups showing her rocking a sunkissed face of makeup. When fans on Just Jared‘s Instagram saw the snaps, they wondered why Katy had even chosen to wear makeup given her day’s activities. The user slamming the pop star for wearing makeup “in a swimming pool” was likely referring to the Mediterranean Ocean Katy and Orlando were bathing in.

The mom of one, who welcomed daughter Daisy with Orlando three years ago, was clearly wearing a foundation layer with plenty of sunkissed-effect bronzer, something that a further close-up showed as Katy smiled during an embrace with Orlando.
Alongside flaunting her slender frame, Katy reminded fans of her rock-solid romance with Orlando, something that some fans referenced, but the drama really kicked off with that “swimming pool” comment.
Gets Told Makeup Isn’t Right For A ‘Pool’
“Why is she so heavily made up and in a swimming pool,” the fan asked, gaining over 30 likes.
It does look like users were willing to give Katy the benefit of the doubt. “If she’s anything like me she may have gone out in the morning and then not washed it off before going to the beach,” another replied. “But again she’s in a pool with full make up..pr disaster,” a third chimed in.
Thinking that Katy may well have anticipated a paparazzi presence, a separate user suggested: “Because she knows that someone will secretly take pictures of her and sell them to the tabloids. I also wouldn’t want to look like a bloated potato.”
Katy has definitely gotten the world’s attention as she releases her new track, but so far, reviews are mixed. The singer will release her 143 album in September 2024. It will come four years after her 2020-released Smile EP. Katy has dedicated much of her recent Instagram activity to the new track, one that raised eyebrows before its release due to Dr. Luke producing it.
