Keanu Reeves is one of today’s most recognized actors and is beloved for his kind and humble attitude toward others. This actor is an icon in pop culture, as his name naturally comes to mind when mentioning franchises such as Matrix or John Wick. Now, Reeves is bringing Shadow to life in the next Sonic flick. So far, this series of films has knocked it out of the park, and the addition of this Hollywood star will make things even better.

Shadow has been one of the blue hedgehog’s strongest antagonists since his first appearance in the 2001 Sonic Adventure 2 video game. Fans have been craving to see this anti-hero debut on the big screen. Besides, Sonic 3 will not be the first animated movie in which Keanu Reeves will participate, as he has already become the voice of Batman in DC League of Super-Pets or Duke Caboom in Toy Story 4. As for video games, among his most recent and most notable voice performances is as Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077. Let’s hope Keanu Reeves brings that deep voice to Shadow.

The production company in charge of the Sonic movies has shown its commitment to the biggest video game fans, such as the redesign of Sonic himself. Also, the same producers brought big celebrities to Sonic‘s cast, such as Jim Carrey himself as Doctor Eggman. Idris Elba is another actor to highlight, who also appears in Cyberpunk 2077 and gave his voice to Knuckles The Echidna. With all this, we can expect that Sonic 3 will be a great movie, like the previous ones, but the participation of Keanu Reeves as Shadow will make it even better.
