Kelly Ripa‘s trainer Anna Kaiser has revealed what the 52-year-old talk show host’s body fat percentage is after a fan on Instagram claimed that it might be “like 8%.” The celebrity trainer to stars including Shakira and Sarah Jessica Parker shared a selfie featuring Kelly last August, one highlighting Kelly’s jaw-dropping abs and bringing in plenty of comments.
Kelly is known for being super-fit and leading a healthy lifestyle. This photo offered fans a giant reminder that while over 50, the Live! host is giving some of the 20-something celebrities a run for their money on the toned figure front.

Posing from a wood-floor studio and near a ballet barre, Kelly joined her trainer for a quick selfie as she showed off her insane abs while rocking a black bralette and gray, black, and white leggings in fun prints.
Adding in a black Adidas jacket worn open, Kelly drew attention to her very slim frame as she smiled for the camera, also going makeup-free as she wore her blonde locks tied back.
Trainer Reveals Body Fat Percentage
The photo had opened a gallery featuring other clients as Anna shouted out her Anna Kaiser Studios company. “When the whole team gets the memo on studio selfies >>> 🙌🤩,” she wrote.
The drama kicked off when one fan rushed to compliment Ripa. “Kelly! Rockin like 8% body fat 🔥🔥,” they wrote. Instead of ignoring the comment, Anna jumped in to reply, also offering some stats.
“No no!! Like 14% but she’s so so strong!!” Anna responded.
Per Medical News Today, women aged 50-55 have an “excellent” body fat percentage between 14% and 22.5%. However, the moment that percentage drops below 14, it’s considered “dangerously low.” It doesn’t all come down to numbers, though.
“Distribution of fat, which can be more important when assessing risk of disease,’ Dr Frankie Jackson-Spence of the UK’s NHS states. “For example, fat distributed centrally around your organs is more of a risk factor for metabolic diseases than subcutaneous fat elsewhere.”
Kelly has revealed how her diet looks. There’s plenty of oatmeal, apples, and almond butter for breakfast, plus one snack that the blonde adores.
“The avocado toast kick of 2015 to 2017 was two years where avocado toast was pretty much the foundation of my diet,” Kelly told Harper’s Bazaar. “And I had it with just about every meal. Sometimes, I would fry an egg and add that on top. Sometimes, a piece of cheese would accompany the avocado toast. But the avocado toast was a real staple of my diet.”
