Kelsea Ballerini is taking time off from touring in the wake of her I Go Back tour with Kenny Chesney to better equip herself for the next one. The songstress recently marked the end of the I Go Back Tour with country superstar Kenny, which ran from March through May 2023. Joining the Me and You crooner as a special guest, Kelsea hit cities like Charlottesville, Greensboro, Virginia, Lexington, and Jacksonville, among other stops, documenting their grand collaboration on social media. Her amazing performance with Kenny and her just-concluded Heartfirst tour has left fans hungry for more, with most probing her to schedule a next tour soonest.
Kelsea Ballerini Puts Touring on Hold for a Heart and Body Reset
Responding to one of the fans requesting a next tour, Kelsea took to her Instagram stories to reveal she had no immediate plans for one. In the post from Friday, July 14, 2023, the country singer shared a photo of herself dressed in a shimmering yellow fringed dress and thigh-high boots, which she wore for her Los Vegas concert during the Heartfirst tour. Kelsea Ballerini attached a screenshot of a fan asking when her next tour would be. In response, the 29-year-old wrote in her screen caption,
“Your girl needs a sec, to be honest, I want a good heart and body reset and to dig my heels into real life for a while. So when it’s time to get back on the road, I’m in the right headspace. So tour… A while. Other things… not so long.”
Kelsea’s revelation comes barely a month after she concluded the third leg of her Heartfirst tour in support of her fourth studio album, Subject to Change. The tour kicked off in the summer of 2023 and ran through June, with 10 extra dates. Before that, Kelsea Ballerini officially began her Heartfirst tour in September 2022, kicking off touring at New York’s iconic Radio City Music Hall.
After a successful first leg, she shocked fans by announcing a second leg, confirming the commencement date as March 2023. The third leg of the Heartfirst tour followed soon after with 10 additional stops. After a busy first half of the year touring to support her fourth studio album while joining Kenny Chesney’s, I Go Back tour, taking timeout to catch her breath is certainly well deserved.
