Here at The Nerd Stash charity is very important to us, as we work with extra life on Twitch year round to donate to the Kentucky Hospital’s pediatric center, raising thousands for sick kids every year. Keystone Games recently announced that they would be partnering with notable figures in the Movie, TV and Games industries in order to raise money for the Over The Wall (A subsidiary of Seriousfun Children’s Network).
The “Keystone Kids” campaign will raise the money through their developing and publish a range of different internal titles. Each Keystone Games title purchased directly benefits the charity through its sales.
Production of the titles will be lead by 5 times Programmer of The Year Award winner Jane Whittaker and a slew of award-winning industry programmers and artists. Other companies within the industry like Unity3D, Microsoft, and Pulse Entertainment will be lending their support, making the charity one of the largest fundraising efforts ever seen in the games industry.
Joining them are entertainment industry stars like Warwick Davis (Harry Potter, Star Wars, Life’s Too Short) and his daughter Annabelle Davis, who are set to be joined by many more major celebrities in which Keystone Games have formed long-term relationships with to help the kids.
While celebrities are doing their part to help, that doesn’t mean you can’t too! Following Keystone Games on Twitter (@Keystone_Games) and helping gain publicity for their cause does more than you can imagine, especially by using the hashtag #KeystoneKids. You can also donate directly through Over the Wall when the time comes.
If you are a developer looking for a publisher, Keystone Games is also willing to talk to you about publishing your title, offer royalty rates and AAA quality marketing. As a result of partnering with the company You keep your royalties and our share is used to help the kids.
We at The Nerd Stash could not be happier to see more companies in the industry take part in contributing money to Charity, especially sick kids.
