Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson have had their fair share of drama regarding their relationship. However, the pair were still able to co-parent their two children and move past their history. Although lately the Kardashians star had some harsh words for the NBA player. Kardashian stated that she was relieved when Thompson moved back to Cleveland because she needed some space from her ex-boyfriend and baby daddy. Thompson moved back to Cleveland in order to play for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
According to People, during the season 5 premiere of The Kardashians, Khloe met up with Tristan as he packed for his return to Ohio. She then compared him to “a bird leaving the nest.” Kardashian continued by hoping Thompson wouldn’t be back in Los Angeles “anytime soon.”
Khloe Kardashian Couldn’t Be Happier With Tristan Thompson’s Move
“I feel like the past couple years have been — I don’t know if traumatic is too big of a word — but I feel like the past couple years, or maybe the past decade, has really been a very heavy time in my life,” the Good American founder explained. “And I don’t necessarily get a lot of time to just, like, heal.”
With Tristan Thompson being away, Khloe Kardashian is looking forward to “taking time just for me.” Kardashian also explains that she wants to put her energy into things that make her happy. However, she will continue to give her children priority.
Thompson’s move back to Cleveland was a bittersweet moment for him. While the former NBA champion loves Ohio, he will miss his children and his brother Amari.
However, Tristan was able to help the Cavaliers make a playoff push. Unfortunately, the undermanned Cavs fell to the Boston Celtics as injuries ravaged their team.
Khloe Kardashian was even able to attend one of Tristan Thompson’s games with the kids. Thompson played some good minutes in that matchup, and it was a nice moment for the family. Kardashian is certainly enjoying his time away, though. Although Thompson surely misses his children.
