Khloe Kardashian’s Good American Fashion Line Sued For Paying Late
Jourdan Whitehead, who worked for Khloe Kardashian’s fashion line in 2021, mentioned that her $3,500 payment was due on December 10, 2021. This was for a day’s job completed on November 17, 2021. However, she did not receive her salary until March 11, 2022.
Whitehead had Khloe Kardashian’s Good American sued over the three-month delay and has requested over 100,000 to cover the late payment penalty. Sighting the California Labor Code 203, she stated in her filing that her willful wages were withheld. She believes the company has the ability to make a prompt payment but decided not to.
The punishment stipulated by Labor Code 203 is that the employee’s wages will continue for 30 days after its due date. Now she is asking Khloe Kardashian’s brand to pay her $105,000.00. It equals her daily payment multiplied by thirty days.
She also wants the brand to sort her lawyer’s fees, alongside other legal charges associated with the suit. This is not the first time Khloe Kardashian‘s fashion line will be getting a lawsuit. In 2021, after sharing shots of Bella Hadid in her brand, Alo Photography sued her.
According to their filing, they cited copyright infringement, claiming the photos were used without their permission to market her brand.
