This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information.

We were saddened to recently receive our final Kids Prize Pack box.  This is a final farewell to one of the boxes that, as a parent, I truly loved!  It promoted reading and was always full of fun, cool stuff for the kids to do. Another thing I really like about this box is that you can personalize it to fit your child’s needs.  They have four categories to cover girls and boys from ages ranging from 4-8 and 9-12.

So, what was in the final box? Let’s take a look and find out!

Kids Prize Pack

The first thing we saw was this card that delivered the bad news that we were losing such a great box.

The book in this box was Magic School Bus: Food Chain Frenzy (#17) and the publisher’s description of this book is as follows:

Ms. Frizzle is the weirdest teacher around. And when it comes to field trips, Arnold is her most reluctant student. An outing on the Magic School Bus can be awful for Arnold, and there is just one thing that could make it worse: his cousin Janet. When his know-it-all relative’s visit is combined with an all-wheel learning adventure, it is sure to be a school day Arnold won’t soon forget.

The Friz is always hungry for adventure, and that’s just what the class gets. With so much to learn about ecosystems, even Arnold finds himself eating up all the food-chain facts.

What a fun book!

The next item in this Kids Prize Pack was this Bubble Science kit. Kids love bubbles and this is a great way to teach kids and keep their attention.

Another great science lesson can be taught with this package of magnets and accessories.

This Eerie Orb is another great science lesson.  The package says you can conduct electricity with your body. Can you see why we loved this box?

If you hadn’t already figured it out, the theme for this final box was S.T.E.M. (Science Technology Engineering Math).  This theme brought some pretty cool educational items for the kids to learn more about science.

What else can we say about this box?  We loved it! It was a box that had education and fun all wrapped into one and we looked forward to receiving it in the mail each month.  We are sad to see it go and wish the owners the best of luck in their next adventure and hope it brings as much joy to others that this box brought to us.

Kids Prize Pack, you’ll be missed!

I am the wife of a real nerd who has developed some nerd-like tendencies along the way. I am a mom of two teenagers who is still trying to figure out what she wants to be when she grows up! I spend my days working at the local community & technical college as a Director of Business & Industry training. At night and on weekends, I love spending time with family, binge-watching tv series, playing video games with the kids, graphic design, and, yes, reviewing products. I have my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Communication and contemplating a Doctorate…I consider myself a lifetime learner!
