One of Kim Kardashian‘s sons has a rare skin disorder, and it turns out the reality TV star passed it on to him. The mom of four made the revelation on Tuesday while discussing her psoriasis journey on the She MD podcast. During the interview, the star told host Dr. Thais Aliabadi that she inherited the disorder from her mother.
“It came from my mom, went to me…and I passed it on in a different form to my son, who has vitiligo mildly,” Kardashian said about the condition which causes pigment to be lost from certain areas of the skin.
Kim Kardashian didn’t mention which of her sons had vitiligo. However, she clarified that her skin condition was now “under control.” The onscreen personality also noted that she initially did not know about vitiligo. However, having to learn about it, figuring out that it was hereditary, and being able to share it had been a blessing. Besides vitiligo, Kim Kardashian detailed her struggles with another skin disorder — psoriasis. The 43-year-old told the host she would do anything to treat it. She also went into detail about the things she had tried to treat the condition. Kardashian revealed she had tried special herbs, holistic methods, a celery juice diet for six months, topical creams, and every natural and unnatural soap.
The socialite first noticed her psoriasis at one of her nephew Mason’s birthday parties when she wore an itchy sequined dress. However, she temporarily stopped experiencing symptoms after getting a cortisone shot. Unfortunately, the psoriasis returned five years later. Sadly, Kardashian has yet to get rid of it. “It’s here to stay,” the media personality joked on the podcast. Despite the difficulties Kim Kardashian has faced with the skin condition, she remains vocal about her struggles. She even shared pictures showing the disease, which has begun spreading to other parts of her body. While it is uncertain if there’s a cure, one thing is sure — Kardashian will do anything to treat it. Hopefully, Kardashian, who may replace Vanna White on Wheel of Fortune, will eliminate her skin disease.
