The 10-year-old has been the star of the Kardashian-Jenner empire this past week after her Lion King performance. North made her musical debut at the Hollywood Bowl for the 30th anniversary celebration of the Disney film. The young socialite performed as Young Simba, singing I Just Can’t Wait to Be King.
However, as with all things Kardashians, the performance drew a heavy amount of criticism. Many labeled North a “nepo baby” who stole the role from other deserving candidates. Fans lamented Kim using her influence to get North the part even if she might not have been the most talented. Others, however, thought the pre-teen did a fantastic job. Nevertheless, amid North dominating all the headlines, it seems her mother doesn’t like not being the center of attention.
In a new Instagram post, the SKIMS founder was seen dressing up just like her daughter’s stage character. Kim donned a nude bodysuit with yellow flurry pants and matching headgear. She accessorized with a leather harness on her waist and struck several seductive poses. Many couldn’t help but draw parallels between Kim’s look and North’s costume, which consisted of a light yellow furry hood with matching shorts and furry boots. It is also worth noting that both outfits were by the designer brand Erl.
Fans Slam Kim Kardashian for Not Letting North Have Her Moment
In no time, fans bombarded the comments section with harsh words for the billionaire. “You really can’t let anyone have their moment,” penned one fan, while another wrote, “I thought this was the Lion King costume.” Another savage comment read:
“Imagine paying to let your daughter have a moment then not letting your daughter have a moment.”
A similar comment read, “GIRL WHY YOU GOTTA STEAL@YOUR DAUGHTERS SPOTLIGHT THIS IS BEYOND SELFISH.” A fan who found the upload funny added, “Okay but her wearing this after her daughter completely butchered the role of young Simba is just hilarious.” Others mentioned that Kim continues to prove her sister, Kourtney Kardashian, right by making everything about her. “So Kourtney was right,” a sixth remark read.
Fans’ outrage at Kim comes amid reports that her family’s fame and ongoing reality show, The Kardashians, fully influenced North’s role. “The promise of the moment being shown on the show and to go and be seen everywhere was also a major selling point for having North a part of the festivities,” the insider claimed.
