If you’ve been a fan of romance anime for a while now, Kimi ni Todoke may be familiar to you. Shouta and Sawako will finally return in Season 3 of the Kimi ni Todoke anime after its second season premiered in 2011, about 12 years ago. The authors, Mamiko Noto and Daisuke Namikawa, shared the official artwork of the main characters in their next adaptation. Besides, the image shows the collaboration with Netflix, the same company that worked on the live-action of this same anime.

Kimi ni Todoke Season 3 Premieres on Netflix in 2024

Based on the hit manga by Karuho Shiina, Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You returns with Season 3! Streaming worldwide in 2024, only on Netflix

Kimi ni Todoke’s manga was well received in Japan, with up to 36 million copies sold. This led to it getting an anime adaptation and distributing it on a large scale in 2009. Now, Netflix has officially released a promotional poster showing the artwork for Season 3 of Kimi ni Todoke. Many expect to resume the love story between Sawako and Shouta, as the second season was left until volume 11 of the 30. Production I.G will still work on the anime, and Netflix will distribute it sometime in 2024.

Another important point is that it is mentioned that the same cast will return to do the characters’ voices. So again, we will hear Mamiko Noto as Sawako, Daisuke Namikawa as Shouta, and Yuuko Sanpei as Chizuru. There is still no exact release date for Kimi ni Todoke Season 3, but with this announcement, it is sure that we will have more of this cute couple. Hopefully, we’ll also see more stories of Sawako’s best friends, Ayane Yano and Chizuru Yoshida.

With how romance anime has grown in the past, this classic will be huge for fans of the genre. If you haven’t, there’s plenty of time to catch up with the anime’s first season before the third installment premieres next year.
