Endless announcements about new original anime, adaptations, and upcoming seasons have flooded the news, especially after AnimeJapan 2024. Like this school romance story, many other “classic” anime also revealed their comeback this year. Although the arrival of Kimi ni Todoke‘s next season had already been announced for this year, the uncertainty finally ended because its latest Season 3 trailer just gave us a release date. After so many years, 13 to be exact, OG fans will be able to see how Sawako and Kazehaya’s relationship develops.
Kimi ni Todoke Announces its Release Date for Season 3 with a Trailer
After all the misunderstandings and distancing the main characters had in the first seasons, things are about to change. In the first episodes, we saw Sawako’s incredible growth both individually and in a group. With a second season that felt like a rollercoaster and a punch in the guts, the upcoming episodes promise a brighter landscape. Given how Kazehaya and Sawako are new in this whole “relationship” business, we know we’re in for some wholesome moments. While the trailer for Kimi ni Todoke Season 3 didn’t show anything relevant other than the release date for August, it reminded us of how far these characters have come. Now, fans worldwide can’t wait to see what shenanigans await this eclectic group of students.
If you’re unaware of the source material, fan favorites like Kent and Kuromi will be present. However, we hope they don’t unleash some conflict as they did in the past. Of course, those who have read the manga also expect to see an evolution of the feelings between Chizu and Ryu or what is coming for Ayane’s life. We won’t spoil that for you. If you have been a fan of Kimi ni Todoke since 2011, you will finally enjoy and continue this love story. But if you need a refresher, you can catch all of this show’s episodes on Netflix.
