The long struggle against Konami is finally over and Hideo Kojima is free to continue making games. That’s exactly what he is going to do. Kojima Productions is his new project and Sony has scored the exclusivity of the company’s first game.

Details of the deal aren’t currently available. Press releases that were sent out were brief and straight to the point about not disclosing details on “how the agreement was realized.” The details of just how long the PS4 exclusivity will last also wasn’t mentioned. The only other piece of information that we know at the moment is that Kojima Productions first game will be on PS4 as well as PC.

After this news, gamers can begin speculating on just what Hideo Kojima could be working on. We know it won’t be Metal Gear or Silent Hills related since Konami still holds the trademark to the names, but we could see a horror game with Guillermo del Toro and Norman Reedus if all parties are still interested. Still, there’s plenty to be excited about. Kojima is a one of the legends of the game industry and he has gone back to work.

If you think you have what it takes to join the legendary developer, there are currently job listings on Kojima Productions website. This would be a chance to work alongside one of the greats of the game industry.
