The mother-of-two doubled down on her claim by citing a former interview by the rapper where he stated that if he went off the grid and came back acting strange, it would not be him. She even told listeners and Anderson to compare old pictures of the mogul if they needed more convincing on the subject. Back in 2017, USA Today shared that Ye had disappeared from the public for twelve months after he canceled the rest of his “Saint Pablo” tour in November 2016 following a series of erratic and angry displays during his last performance.
He reportedly deleted all his social media accounts. Ye was treated for exhaustion and dehydration at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center before eventually being discharged to continue outpatient treatment. In 2022, The Sun also reported that Ye’s whereabouts came into question as a “Kanye West missing” hashtag trended on X(formerly known as Twitter). A hip-hop news account, Daily Loud, also added to the rumor by claiming the rapper had gone missing.
The publication disclosed that Ye’s former manager claimed they had been unable to find the rapper for weeks. The former manager, identified as Thomas St John, hired by the rapper in 2022, had dragged him to court over unpaid fees and could not locate him to serve him papers in person.
