The sale of Kroy Biermann and Kim Zolciak’s Georgia home has been a huge topic for discussion over the last couple of days. Recall that the former NFL star filed for divorce from Zolciak for the second time in August 2023. About a week later, Biermann filed new documents, seeking permission from a judge to sell off their $3 million Georgia home. He noted that the funds from the sale would sort out their financial troubles, as their home was at risk of a foreclosure auction. It seems like the court is yet to arrive at a decision, and Biermann has resulted in pleading with his estranged wife. If the home isn’t sold, Kroy Biermann and Kim Zolciak could be out on the streets.
Biermann and Zolciak’s Georgia Home Sale Is Still Pending
Things aren’t getting any better between Kroy Biermann and Kim Zolciak amid their divorce saga. Throughout their marriage, the estranged couple incurred a lot of financial debt. Now, Biermann is hoping to pay off all he owes with the money from the sale of Kroy Biermann and Kim Zolciak’s Georgia home. However, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star is yet to sign off on the joint consent agreement. On Thursday, Biermann’s lawyer Marlys A. Bergstrom revealed to TMZ that his client wanted the best for everyone. Hence, his decision to sell the mansion.
According to Bergstrom, the family was in debt of up to a million dollars and on the verge of getting their home foreclosed. Given the dire situation, Biermann has been begging his wife to sign off on the sale. The 37-year-old has said he has no intention of hurting the reality TV star. He is only focused on keeping his kids safe and helping the family move on. However, Zolciak seems unbothered, as she’s living happily in Los Angeles while Biermann is trying to sort things out. He wants Zolciak to understand the severity of the situation and do the needful.
Kroy Biermann Files for Emergency Court Hearing
Although Biermann is hoping his pleas get Zolciak to bulge, he has a backup plan if they don’t. About a week ago, he filed for an emergency hearing to get a judge’s permission to sell the home. In the court documents, the father of four revealed he had to sell some personal properties to settle mortgage payments. Even though Zolciak allegedly brought financial devastation to the family, Biermann said he continued to make monthly payments.
He further noted that he asked Zolciak to sell some of her expensive items, which she did. However, the money gotten was never channeled into a mortgage or any of the bills. Unfortunately, they were unable to make payments in July, and now, Kroy Biermann and Kim Zolciak are in a pickle. For now, it seems like the only way out is the sale of Kroy Biermann and Kim Zolciak’s Georgia home.
