For many, the spring weather is just around the corner and seeing April turn over on the calendar means winter is behind us. Despite the weather getting warmer, Netflix is trying to keep us indoors with some excellent additions to their movie and TV lineup for next month.
As stated in the title, two great Stanley Kubrick classics will be added in April: 2001: A Space Odyssey and A Clockwork Orange. These are two fantastic movies that any film fan should see, especially 2001, which is easily one of the biggest inspirations to sci-fi and space movies that followed it.
Regarded as one of the best movies of all time, Shawshank Redemption will be on many people’s Netflix queue come April. The now classic Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman film is another story that should be experienced by everyone.
Fans of reality TV will once again have more to dig into as well. Fixer Upper, House Hunters and House Hunters International, Cutthroat Kitchen, and The Great Foodtruck Race will all be on that list.
Shawshank and Kubrick’s films aren’t the only greats being added in April though. Some real funny comedies like Best in Show and Scrooged are coming. There’s also a great list of drama worth a sit down as well: Julia Roberts’ Oscar-winning role in Erin Brokovich, V for Vendetta, Mystic River, Begin Again, and something a little in between, the classically admired Princess Bride.
What do you think of the new lineup and list of Netflix additions? There’s a total of 82 new titles or season additions for April, is there anything that peaks your interest?
