Lana Del Rey is showing off another side to her. The singer, who is set to headline her first US Stadium show, gave fans a tease of what to expect. Rey recently shared a risque video on social media while shouting out A-lister Angelina Jolie with her music.
Lana Del Rey Inspires Fans With Pole Dancing Skills
Rey caused quite the mayhem with an Instagram Story upload. The beloved songwriter rocked a sheer white dress, which she tied into a knot to make it shorter and flaunt her toned legs. She looked super casual, pairing the outfit with white tennis shoes and a pair of simple black earrings. Rey, whose blonde hair was packed into a messy ponytail, climbed on a pole outdoors and did a little spin.
One could mistake the Young and Beautiful songstress for a stripper as she skillfully spun around while on the pole. In the background, her song Peppers featuring Tommy Genesis played. In it, Rey paid a sweet tribute to actress Jolie saying, “Hands on your knees, I’m Angelina Jolie. Hands on your knees, Angelina Jolie.”
In no time, the steamy clip made rounds on X, formerly known as Twitter. As expected, fans had a lot to say about Rey’s display, with some even comparing her to a stripper. “Wow, she did that so perfectly…any chance she was a stripper??” wondered one fan. Another wrote:
“She knows what her audience want to see, and she gave it to them.”
More comments read, “Is she pole dancing in a swamp full of crocodiles??? MOTHER,” and “Lana heard “alter ego” and said Yeah, the swamp.”
LDR Is Headlining At Fenway Park
Lana Del Rey’s sultry display comes a week after she achieved a milestone moment in her career. For the first time, she will headline a stadium show in the United States. Per Billboard, Rey is the headliner for the Fenway Park show in Boston. The show is a one-night-only affair set to hold on June 20.
The gig follows Rey’s impressive performance at Coachella, where she also made two surprise appearances. She first performed alongside Paul Cauthen to deliver a heart-melting rendition of the 1965 ballad Unchained Melody. Then, during the second weekend, she invited fellow singer Camila Cabello on stage to sing her new track, I Luv It.
