There have been a lot of guesses made about what will happen in the No Kings protests. Several news outlets, especially Republican ones, believed that those protesting would mostly appear in blue states. Well, they will probably be surprised once they realize that this isn’t the case. A large crowd appeared in Tennessee as hundreds of protesters gathered to be part of the No Kings Day. Despite Tennessee being a red state, people still showed up in large numbers with signs to protest against Trump. The protest looked peaceful as everyone was standing with their signs. They were even playing Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us. You could also see people standing on both sides of the road.
Since there were a lot of people at the Tennessee protest, it is normal that there were a lot of different signs. Several of them mentioned democracy as one read, “Defend democracy.” Another sign said, “No Kings in America protect democracy.” There was also a vulgar sign of Trump that referred to Time Magazine’s recent cover picture of him. The sign was funny to many, including the camerawoman who laughed and said, “That’s the best sign I have seen this morning.” One of the good things about these protests is seeing people’s creativity when they create their signs.
People Reacting to the Large ‘No Kings’ Protest in Tennessee
People were definitely proud of all the people who showed up for the No Kings protest in Tennessee, despite it being a red state. The comments reflected that several people wished that the protesters would be safe. “Please stay safe and have fun! When you lead with joy and love, not anger, they lose,” one person wrote. Another person believed that people showing up in a red state is impressive. “The people in the red states, you’re the real MVPs of this protest. Hats off to you all,” they said. Someone else advised protesters not to react to anyone who would try to disrupt the protests. “Watch out for the bad actors. Record them and call them out, no doubt maga influencers and trump loyalist will try to ruin this,” they wrote.
There were also a few people who believed that there might be bad seeds in the Tennessee protest. Since a bald man appeared in the video walking around without holding any signs, some believed that he might be a cop. “Yeah, that bald-headed dude in the hoodie. Walking around at one point. Total cop,” one person wrote. Hopefully, if he is a cop, then he is there for the protesters’ safety and nothing else. Another person mocked Republicans who claimed that anyone who would show up to the No Kings protests would be a Hamas supporter. “So weird. Y’all don’t look like Hamas terrorists. Hmmm,” they said. Everyone there definitely looked peaceful. I mean, they were even playing music.
