Las Vegas Airport Lounge Under Fire After Man Is Told to Leave for Eating a Bagel He Bought Outside: ‘Genuinely Just Bored and Miserable’

A Las Vegas airport bar is knee-deep in controversy after its employees were filmed telling a TikTok content creator to leave the establishment for bringing his own food and choosing not to purchase anything from the bar when asked.

While waiting for his flight at Harry Reid International Airport, the man found an open seat inside a venue known as The B Lounge and sat down with a bag of food he had brought with him, including a bagel and a banana. But before he could fully unwrap the brown paper around the bagel and take his first bite, a staff member abruptly approached him and, in a raised voice, told him that he needed to leave.

It Escalates Further

Caught off guard by the sudden confrontation, the man looked up and asked what rule he was breaking that warranted him being told to leave. A female employee who followed closely behind the first staff member quickly stepped in and explained that the seating area was not a sit-down restaurant and that he was not allowed to eat there unless he purchased a beverage from the bar.

Holding the bagel in his hand, the man paused and asked again if he was truly being told to leave simply for eating his food. When the woman confirmed that this was the case and continued explaining the policy, including that the area was restricted to customers who were at least 21 years old, the man casually took a bite of the bagel, as if he had not just been told moments earlier that he was not allowed to eat there.

After some time and a bit more back-and-forth regarding his age and ID, the first staff member walked away, leaving the woman to continue handling the situation. The man, who still had not left, told her that he was exhausted and simply wanted to finish eating before his flight.

He Was Given Two Choices

The employee reiterated that he had two options: he could either leave the lounge and eat elsewhere, or he could purchase a drink from the bar in order to remain seated. At that point, the man folded the bagel back into its wrapper and remarked that the situation felt like a “power trip.” He then said that he was leaving and began gathering his belongings.

In response, the employee suggested that he stay where he was and said she would call law enforcement so they could explain the rules to him more clearly. Rather than argue further, the man packed up his food and said that since he was being told to eat outside, that was exactly what he intended to do. The employee laughed and remarked, “Look who’s listening now,” a comment that prompted the man to scrunch his face at her in disgust before getting up to leave.

As he walked away with his belongings, the man claimed that he had originally planned to “browse the menu” and possibly order something from the lounge, but after how he was treated, he no longer had any intention of doing so. He also stated that he hoped the female employee would be hit by karma and lose her job.

As of now, the video he uploaded to TikTok concerning the incident has racked up roughly five million views and more than 600,000 likes.

Netizens React to the Las Vegas Airport Lounge Confrontation

Despite the high engagement on his post, the comment section was filled with divided reactions. Some netizens felt the man handled the situation well and believed the employees treated him unfairly. “I love the composure you have 🫶🏻,” one person wrote. Another commented, “This is actually so weird 😭 she was genuinely just bored and miserable omg.” Someone else said, “Literally could have nicely explained it to you but they were hella mean and rude for no reason.”

At the same time, others argued that the employees were simply enforcing clearly established rules. “You were in the wrong dude 100%,” one viewer stated. A second asked, “Did you buy the bagel there? If not, move on and eat elsewhere.” A third added, “Why do ppl act like rules don’t apply to them. She told you the rule. Move along.”
