A road rage incident nearly ended in tragedy when a man was caught on camera pointing a firearm at a woman in Las Vegas, Nevada. The situation seemingly started with a traffic dispute, and no injuries have been reported.
The footage of the incident was originally posted by livelaughlinc on Instagram, but the profile appears to be offline at the time of this report. Regardless, the story quickly gained traction and was also featured on Reddit’s r/KarenGoBrrr, which compiles viral freakouts.
The short clip shows only part of the larger incident. A woman can be seen yelling at a man inside a car on a highway in Nevada. As the camera zooms in, it becomes clear that the individual is aiming a firearm at her, clearly threatening her. Fortunately, she appears to de-escalate the situation and backs away before anything else happens.
Due to a lack of more footage, it remains unclear why the traffic dispute started or whether anything else happened after the camera stopped recording.
Internet Criticizes Violent Nevada Driver
People online had mixed opinions about the incident, but most still appeared to side with the woman. One social media user wrote, “Pointing a gun at an unarmed person while there’s a protective metal shell between the two of you is crazy work.” Another user seemed to welcome the idea of the man being punished for his behavior: “Boomer will enjoy jail.”
Some commenters also pointed to the MAGA hat worn by the elderly man, saying, “Not always a dude in the hat. But every dude with the hat,” while another added, “Boomer, MAGA hat, gun. All I needed to see.”
However, some folks defended the man, siding against most of the other Redditors, “So the person inside their car is automatically the wrong one, and the loudmouth that’s blocking traffic and not letting them go around is the right one just because of race and politics?”
The video is quickly gaining traction online, as people are often struck by how quickly a road rage incident can escalate into violence. Although the situation de-escalated, it was clearly a close call for the woman.
