The Last Oasis game, by developer Donkey, is making its way from Steam to Xbox consoles. The Battle Royale-style takes place on a post-apocalyptic Earth. While humans have amazing adaptability, one more cataclysm was too much. The only human refuge now has two extreme climates: one side of the world is scorching hot, and the other is bone-chillingly cold. Humans now fight against each other in small tribes for what little resources exist.

Aside from each other, humanity must also content with a scorching hot sun. With no magnetic field to protect from radiation, the sun literally scorches the surface of the Earth.

Last Oasis Coming to Xbox Console Family

Other games in the genre have characters running or swimming to safety. Some may also include gliders. In Last Oasis, however, the last human tribes survive on the Flotilla. It is a massive walking city that serves as the last bastion for humanity.

In order to explore the only safe zone on Earth, the Nomads have employed Walkers. These massive wind-powered land ships known as Walkers are the place from which humanity continues to wage war. Travel, harvest and fight to keep the resources you discover on your journey across the doomed landscape.

The machines used to wage war in Last Oasis are inspired by the creations of Theo Jansen. A Dutch artist, the man created what science calls ‘primitive creatures.’

The title will be making its way to the Xbox console family in the first quarter of 2021. Fully optimized for current and next-gen consoles, all players can look forward to synchronized updates. No one will be left behind on content.

The Second Season of the Last Oasis game will begin this Sunday. For more information on Season 2 and future updates, check out Donkey Crew’s Twitter and Discord.

Do you have what it takes to gather resources and fight off other Nomads? Will you lead your tribe to victory? Let us know in the comments!
