Lea Michele‘s son’s health has been a thing of concern for the actress, but at the Time 100 Gala, she spilled a little about the journey so far.
The “Funny Girl” star is a mama bear when it comes to her family. The actress is notoriously private about her motherhood journey, and only shares as much as she wills. It’s been two years since she became a mom to baby Ever Leo. Lea Michele shares her mini-me with her husband, Zandt Reich of five years. But while she enjoys sharing photos, she never shows Ever’s face. At the Time Gala, Lea Michele filled reporters in on her son’s health. And here is why.
Lea Michele’s Son’s Health Crisis Began Weeks Before Her Update At The Time 100 Gala
Last month, Lea Michele told fans her son visited the hospital over a scary health issue. She refused to put a name on the health crisis but confessed that it took a toll on the family.
A few days later, she announced that Ever was on the road to recovery, but they were not entirely “out of the woods.” Two weeks after the scary health announcement they visited the hospital again.
The “Glee” alum was honest with her admissions, claiming the episode was affecting the entire family. Though she was available for her son, it hurt to watch him go through it alone. She posted a snap of Ever and covered it up with a lengthy write-up that read:
“These hard times show you truly what matters and is important in life and how much we have to be grateful for. But our boy is such a champ and is going to be ok. But it still hurts.”
Lea Michele Says Ever Is Doing Well But “There’s A Long Road Ahead”
Lea Michele commanded stares as she attended the Time 100 Gala in New York City. The “Funny Girl” star who donned a blue metallic gown did not forget to light up her gorgeousness. She smiled at the shutters while posing on the red carpet, before talking to interviewers. When asked about her son’s health, Lea Michele told People:
“Ever’s doing good. He’s doing well,” said Michele. “We still have a little bit of a long road ahead of us here, but he’s doing well, thank God, and healthy.”
Lucky for the Broadway star, her “Funny Girl ” castmates have been supportive. She claimed they have shown care with their words. Earlier in the month, she took Ever along with her while filming. She told fans that in between performances, she ran to hug her toddler.
Another support system has been her husband, Reich. Apart from looking after their son, he gives a nod to her career and is always nearby. Reich attended the Time 100 Gala with his wife, who revealed he was excited about the event. Michele and Reich married in 2019 and the following year, they welcomed their first and only child.
