A sequel to DC’s fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us, may be on its way after all. Rumors have been surfacing the last few weeks about developer NetherRealm’s future announcement for Injustice 2.

The poster sports the catchphrase “Every Battle Defines you.” It was tipped to Polygon early on Tuesday, showing Batman facing off with his DC counterpart, The Flash. You can take a look at it above, or below:

Polygon also reports that the game will be announced by developers and publishers NetherRealm and WB Interactive soon (E3 perhaps?), with a release date of March 2017.  There is no confirmation as to the consoles or platforms the game will release on, but according to the tip, Gamestop systems have a place for PC, PS4, and Xbox One for Injustice 2. A letter addressed to Gamestop managers and shared with Polygon also states that the posters are to be displayed for a limited time only.

If the tips and rumors do come true, the game will drop four years after its predecessor. Gods Among Us was well received by fans and critics, sporting a fairly strong online community in the process. The game was well-known also by introducing some more obscure as lesser-known heroes and villains in the mix in its original roster as well as future DLC.

About a year after the game, DC also published a long-running comic book series based on the game’s storyline. It was a very comic book-esc story, with Superman battling his “inner demons,” as heroes and villains teamed up across dimensions to save the world. The campaign/storyline of the game kicked off the comic series with weaving each character into the 7+ hour gameplay experience.

Looks like the “E3 hype train” is in full swing, continuing the trend over the last few years of leaks and announcements pre-conference.
