LeBron James has been defending his son Bronny James from harsh criticism ever since he declared for the NBA Draft. However, that doesn’t stop the fans and NBA insiders from bashing Bronny’s play. LeBron recently stated that his son’s mind is already “NBA-ready.” What LBJ means by this is that Bronny will not let the outside noise get to him, and his game will continue to grow. The young man seems to be locked in.
Per TMZ, the criticisms surrounding the oldest son of Lebron James have grown exponentially over the last few days. Bronny recently made his NBA Summer League debut for the Los Angeles Lakers. James Jr. had four points on 2-9 shooting and dished out two assists in his first Summer League game. Fans really let him have it after this performance, which prompted LeBron James to chime in.
Lebron James Tells the Media That Bronny James Doesn’t Care About What They Say
“He doesn’t give a f***” about any of the outside noise. He doesn’t,” LBJ said in his sit-down interview with ESPN. “Bronny plays. He works his tail off. When he goes home, he plays video games.”
It seems like while Bronny James’ mind might be NBA-ready, the way he plays the game is not. After LeBron’s comments, basketball fans took to social media to voice their opinions.
“There’s a good chance Bronny is out of the NBA before LeBron. Just saying,” said one. “That’s a good thing. Plenty of more criticism ahead if he continues to go 2-9 from the field,” said another. It would be safe to say that most fans are not happy about the situation with Bronny.
This is not the first time LeBron James has defended Bronny from the fans and the media, and it is likely that it won’t be the last time. However, Bronny James is keeping his head down and trying to improve his game. That is all anyone can ask for as far as the 55th pick of the draft.
