Just announced at Nintendo E3, the new Zelda game will be called Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Link takes to his new adventure with a variety of new hunting tools and skills, such as a spear and a serrated blade. The world looks incredibly responsive, with Link shoving a boulder over a cliff to crush enemies below.

Link is also shown wearing what appears to be a suit of mail armor as he stares down a beast made of rock in addition to his default outfit. Also shown are activities such as fishing, chopping down a tree to make a bridge, freezing a block of water, cooking, and hunting game with a bow and arrow. Link can even start a brushfire.

Could this be a boss encounter? Link might want to try something other than that sword he's holding.

Story and dungeon elements were not shown in the previewBut it’s clear from the trailer that this will be a Zelda game unlike any other before it featuring a level of freedom and exploration fans have been yearning for. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild arrives next year on Wii U and NX.
