Leonardo DiCaprio has been dubbed an “eco-hypocrite” after he attended a green fashion bash/event on Thursday, clocking an amazing 12k air miles in the last two weeks while going about with models.
DiCaprio has a movie list that is the envy of many of his colleagues. However, what gives the most credence to his career is that he doesn’t have a bad movie after several decades.
DiCaprio’s on-screen life is everyone’s dream, but back in reality, the story isn’t quite the same. The award-winning actor’s personal life has been the subject of intense media scrutiny.
More recently, he was made the butt of jokes by the media over his preference for dating women under the age of 25. Although the actor vowed to change, he has continued to be spotted with young models.
Another aspect of his life that has come under scrutiny is his environmental activism. He has been called out severally for his love for flying private jets.
Most notably, in 2016, he was seriously mocked for using a private jet to make an 8000-mile trip to pick up an award for his environmental activism.
Farcical hypocrisy

Leonardo DiCaprio Attends Eco Bash Completing His Air Miles 12k
On Thursday, Leonardo DiCaprio attends an Eco bash in Los Angeles — confirming himself once again as an eco-hypocrite. This comes after the actor clocked an astonishing 12k air miles in two weeks. He did so while enjoying date nights with young models.
The actor was seen posing alongside powerful figures in sustainable fashion and activism while appearing at the Green Carpet Fashion Awards in Los Angeles.
DiCaprio looked smart in a suave navy suit. The usually camera-shy actor looked comfortable as he posed alongside the Minister of Indigenous Peoples of Brazil, Sonia Guajajara, in the winners’ room.
Several other stars graced the annual event — with Heidi Klum, Cate Blanchett, and Jodie Turner-Smith all making remarkable red-carpet appearances.
Heading into the event, the actor was just coming out of some controversy after he was romantically linked with model Eden Polani, 19. Since then, he has been spotted in several cities across Europe partying with models.
While his mode of transportation during this period hasn’t been confirmed, the eco-activist is well-known for his preference for gas-guzzling private jets.
