At first, it might be tempting to spend the fruit on many of the things the Alchemist sells; most give you different uses for your Wishstone. However, the best thing to do is to spend all your Fruit on Star Fragments so you can summon a spirit to help you. Remember to return to the Gold Coin Fruit Tree to gather your fruit and spend it before going into a boss fight.

Many Souls games have taught us the delicate art of rolling on the floor like pandas to avoid getting hit. While this technique is good, it doesn’t work well in Lies of P. This game encourages you to play with the Guard Regain mechanic. You’ll lose a small portion of your health whenever you get hit while blocking, but you’ll notice that portion remains as a faded bar. Hitting an enemy back before the faded bar goes away will restore that HP. While you can dodge, it isn’t as fast or safe as blocking. Plus, to dodge faster, you’ll need to invest in the P-Organ and take some specific perks to dodge some of the most dangerous attacks in the game. Again, it is better to learn how to block properly.
