CBS has just announced that their show Limitless will receive a full 22-episode season. The show, which stars Jake McDorman, is based off the 2011 film starring Bradley Cooper.  The story follows a similar tale to the film in which a 28-year-old nobody, Brian Finch (McDorman) discovers the powerful drug NZT-48. This drug enables him the ability to recall everything he’s ever read and provides him with near unlimited focus, among other things. This series, as well as the film, are based off the book “The Dark Fields,” with the events of the show taking place after the film.

According to the network, Limitless is currently their second most-watched new show. The president of CBS, Glen Stellar, said in a statement, “We’re excited how Limitless continues to evolve creatively each week and stand out with its unique style of storytelling. It’s off to a strong start in a highly competitive environment.”

The pilot of the show included a special appearance by Bradley Cooper, reprising his role from the film as Eddie Morra. He is also slated to appear in the upcoming sixth episode. The show also includes Jennifer Carpenter, Hill Harper and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. Limitless airs on Tuesday nights and has a run time of around 45 minutes.
