The Daisy Jones and the Six star learned things about their mother’s life that she had never known. But even so, Riley couldn’t believe the jawbreaking things Lisa did after the loss of her only son, Benjamin Keough.

“Even my mom said she could feel him talking to her, saying, ‘This is insane, Mom, what are you doing? What the f—!'” Riley wrote, noting that she was “struggling to stay alive” during the funeral for her brother, which was held in Malibu.”
Lisa Marie writes, “My house has a separate casitas bedroom, and I kept Ben Ben in there for two months. There is no law in the state of California that you have to bury someone immediately,” Presley wrote. “I found a very empathetic funeral homeowner … She said, ‘We’ll bring Ben Ben to you.'”

Things took a dark turn. Lisa Marie writes she couldn’t rest and even brought a tattoo artist to her home to copy Ben’s ink. When he arrived, he asked Lisa for a photo of Ben’s tattoo. However, she explained she didn’t have one but could show him.
Presley then escorted the unexpecting man in to look at the body of her deceased son. Riley wrote in the book. “I’ve had an extremely absurd life, but this moment is in the top five.” Keough adds that it was only after getting the matching tattoo that her mother “got the vibe” Benjamin should be finally laid to rest. It was all very heartbreaking.
Riley Keough’s brother was laid to rest at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. Three years after his 2020 passing, Lisa Marie Presley was buried next to him on the mansion’s property alongside her father, Elvis Presley.
