Remember the old Disney Movies? The classic animated ones that they made before CGI got itself involved? Those films shaped the childhoods of entire generations of children. What you probably didn’t grasp back when you were little was that they were all based on old fairytales or classic literature. You probably didn’t realise this at the time, because these films were many children’s first introductions to these old tales. Lots of little children have heard of ‘The Jungle Book’. Not so many have heard of Rudyard Kipling.

So we have no one glossing over the fact that this is a story about a young boy being hunted by a tiger. Then we have the all star cast providing the voices of the various animal characters. Firstly, we have Christopher Walken as King Louie, the Jungle’s monkey king. Giancarlo Esposito is the leader of the wolf pack that raises Mogli. Ben Kingsley is Bagheera the panther and Bill Murray will be voicing Baloo the bear. Idris Elba will be the voice of antagonistic tiger Sheer Kahn. And Scarlett Johanson will be voicing the snake, Kaa.
Who’s hoping Christopher Walken will do a cover of ‘Want to be like you?’
