In a surprising announcement, Owlcat Games unveiled a Game of the Year Edition for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. Originally released in 2021, this cRPG has gotten all sorts of updates, DLCs, and QoL improvements, making it another in-depth role-playing game. Many might’ve skipped it as the studio behind it usually takes a while to launch the “complete” version, and well, it is finally here. Whether you’ve put it on your backlog or need to fill that empty void that the likes of Baldur’s Gate 3 left, now’s the perfect time to gather your Crusade and jump into a hundred-hour adventure with a lot of replayability and post-launch content.
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Game of the Year Edition is available now. Anyone who buys it will get access to all current DLCs and the updates the game has received since its launch. Plus, the GOTY Edition has a 10% discount that will last for a few days, which is great if you haven’t tried this game yet.
If you’re new to the series, I can’t recommend it enough. Owlcat Games has always launched some of the most in-depth RPGs out there with intriguing storylines, amazing companions, and a lot of customization. It may seem overwhelming at first, especially since it brings mechanics from the Pathfinder RPG. Still, the video game does a great job of putting them into a user-friendly digital environment. As someone who always struggles with character builds and terminology, Wrath has helped me a lot and even encouraged me to try as many classes as possible.
Furthermore, there are so many Mythical Paths to take that only add more gameplay depth to a campaign and even feature their own storylines. So, if you want to scratch that cRPG itch that other games have left or you’ve been waiting for the perfect time to jump into Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, the Game of the Year Edition is the ideal starting point.
