Lately, we’ve seen some police officers treating arrested people poorly, but some situations have escalated drastically, reaching inhumane levels. Recently, a group of cops in Los Angeles, California, was spotted by different people as they were arresting a man. However, halfway through the arrest, the man started having a seizure, and the police officers decided to ignore it. They didn’t even check the person’s pulse to see if he was okay. They just stood there and didn’t move a finger to help this man, who, regardless of what he did, is still a human who could’ve lost his life that day.

The video comes from Instagram user mrcheckpoint_, who shared the harrowing tale on their Instagram account. According to them, they spotted a group of cops in Los Angeles surrounding a man who was handcuffed. The man on the ground started crying, and the OP, who captured the video, asked the officers if they would call an ambulance. Then, one of the cops replies sarcastically, “No, we’re just going to let him suffer. Yes, we’ll call an ambulance. Sure.” The dismissive tone worried the OP, who returned to keep recording.

While driving, the ones in the vehicle witnessed the detainee having a seizure, but the police officers around the man didn’t do anything to check if he was okay or if he needed medical attention. You can see how all of them stood around, failed to check the person’s vitals, and left the man handcuffed on the ground.

Many assume that the man might’ve had a seizure due to the shocking situation of being surrounded by almost a dozen police officers and being handcuffed in public.

“Yo, they made this guy have a seizure.” Said one user.

“This is soooo heartbreaking to watch.. I wasn’t there, but I can’t see any signs that they’re assessing for a pulse and checking on the man. This is truly gut-wrenching.” Commented another user.

It is uncertain what crime, if any, the man committed, especially nowadays, when we see a lot of wrongful arrests. However, detained people still deserve medical attention, and it seems this man needed some urgently. So far, it is unknown what happened with the man or if any emergency medical services arrived, but the fact that almost all police officers stood idly by while this man had a seizure is alarming and just shows us a glimpse of how some cops are acting lately.
