There are many reasons why it’s scary to drive on the highway. For one thing, you never know how other drivers are going to behave and react. You never really know if you’ll run into someone with such unimaginable road rage that you’re entire day is thrown off as a result. One Los Angeles, California, driver posted what his morning routine driving to work looks like, even including a rude Karen who just can’t seem to leave his car alone. Can’t we all just get along?
The above video was posted to dancer Marlon Davila’s Instagram account, where he typically posts videos and dancing content. In Los Angeles’ social dance circles, Davila is a significant figure, meaning that any video he posts would likely gain a substantial number of views, which is exactly what happened when he posted a video of a rude Karen driving a white SUV very close to his car on a California highway. What’s worse is that the Karen was also screaming profanities at Davila. Unfortunately, Davila was also a part of the discourse, laughing and recording the entirety of the exchange. However, that doesn’t mean that he deserved the behavior.
Eventually, the exchange becomes a bit more physical, with the woman throwing Oreos at Davila’s car. You read that correctly; the woman decided to throw a chocolate cookie snack at another car driving along the highway. Marlon continues to laugh and drive as though nothing is happening, but ensures that his camera is fixed on the white SUV, just in case. Just before the video finally ends, you can see the Karen drive as close as possible to Davila’s car, likely in an attempt to scare or intimidate him.
It’s unclear exactly what happened that caused the woman to behave so erratically. However, that doesn’t really matter because her driving could have been hazardous for those around her. She wasn’t really paying attention to her surroundings, and could have easily been the cause of a completely different accident just because of her road rage. Commentators under the Reddit video agreed, even poking fun at what they would do in the same situation, with one person saying, “I love those people. I go as slow as possible for them.”
Others were a little more concerned over what it was that could have possibly happened to warrant that sort of behavior, with one person saying, “There’s a good argument for front plates right there. Also, what’d OP do to piss off barbie so she throw out those oreos?” Honestly, I have to wonder as well because I am not sure of many scenarios in which I would choose to use Oreos as a weapon.
