Leo Braudy had quite an interesting experience during his time on Season 7 of Love Is Blind. The Netflix reality star, who boasted about how rich he is, found himself in a love triangle. Initially, he hoped to propose to Hannah Jiles. However, when things shifted between them, he became engaged to another girl, Brittany Wisniewski.
When the pair had their reveal ceremony the following day, the moment was undeniably awkward. Moments later, a title card appeared on the screen, letting viewers know that producers chose not to invite them to Mexico for the post-pods trip. Instead, they took their own vacation to Miami and eventually called things off several weeks later. But that doesn’t mean Leo wasn’t hurt by the producers’ decision.
When he learned the news, the art dealer from D.C. told Entertainment Weekly that he was “crushed.” He continued, saying he believed being in a “love triangle” would’ve secured his spot with Brittany as one of the five couples moving to the next stage of filming. “I mean, who wouldn’t want to go to Cabo with all of your guy friends and seeing the other people, the other women? Yeah, I was super bummed. But nonetheless, we still had a great time afterwards,” he said.
What Happened Between Leo Braudy and Brittany Wisniewski?
Since they weren’t chosen for Mexico, Love Is Blind editors didn’t reveal the details behind Leo Braudy and Brittany’s breakup. However, Leo spilled the beans during his chat with EW.
“I think it was pretty mutual,” he said. “After the reveal, the producers asked if we wanted to be put in touch, which we, of course, did. And we decided, ‘Let’s have our own version of a post-reveal engagement trip,’ so we spent a few days in L.A. and a few days in Miami, and while we had an amazing time, I think we both realized that we just weren’t really going to end up getting married.”
Leo noted that things with Brittany went well for the first few days. However, after getting “settled,” they started to reevaluate.
“… after a lot of thought, we decided that we just didn’t see it happening, and we’re really good as friends.”
Fans React to Leo and Brittany’s Journey Being Cut Short
When watchers learned that Netflix wouldn’t show the rest of Brittany and Leo’s story, they expressed their feelings on social media.
“These LIB producers have me F*CKED UP,” one user wrote. “What do you mean Leo and Brittany weren’t selected to go to Mexico? LET ME SEE WHAT DUMPSTER FIRE!”
“Tell me why the producers aired the entire sh*t-show that was Brittany and Leo’s relationship just for them to say they took their own trip to Miami,” another user shared.
Although Leo and Brittany won’t appear in the season’s remaining regular episodes, fans may hear from them when the entire cast reunites in the coming weeks. “I think certainly they’ll be at the reunion,” Chris Coelen, LIB creator, told Variety. “And maybe someday we actually will follow more [couples] into the real world. I would love that, it’s just complicated and a lot of story to to tell.”
