Madonna’s Grammy look was nothing like anyone had seen before. The “Material Girl” crooner looked nearly unrecognizable, but following questions from fans, she has silenced the critics. Madonna’s look first premiered on her Instagram page. The award-winning singer looked half her age in an unconventional formal ensemble.
She slipped into a white shirt with a collar that nestled a tie. On top of her formal shirt was a black blazer with a corset theme giving her a snatched waistline. The buttons left undone beneath the blazer revealed her high-waist black skirt that tailed to the ground. But to the side, was a high slit that showed her legs trapped inside a fish net.
She boosted her height in Vivienne Westwood shoes and added cross earrings, multiple rings, fishnet gloves, and a riding crop to her statement-worthy look. It was nearly impossible to tell it was Madonna owing to her makeup and rare hairstyle— seemingly two horns to the side, and two strings of braids. But what did fans have to say about Madonna‘s Grammy look?
The world is threatened by my power and my stamina. My intelligence and my will to survive.
But they will never break me

Madonna’s Grammy Look Stirs Reactions From Fans
Some fans went online to share their shock at the singer’s appearance. They maintained that Grammy’s look could have been better and that she was trying too hard to remain relevant. Another wing of fans defended her claiming that fans always find ways to criticize Madonna at every point in her life. The supporters claim that she had the right to change her looks.
The “Frozen” star refused to go cold on trolls. Following the Madonna Grammy look saga, she shared a clip of herself with Sam Smith and Kim Petras, the Grammy performers she introduced on stage at the event.
In defending her appearance, she slammed the critics for focusing on the wrong thing, maintaining that it was a historical night for Kim Petras— the first trans woman with a Grammy.
Madonna mentioned that the photos making the rounds were taken with long lenses while she was on stage, noting that she was trapped in ageism and misogyny. The 65-year-old condemned society for failing to recognize women as they age. She pumped harder on the age issue, adding:
“I have never apologized for any of the creative choices I have made nor the way that I look or dress.”
Madonna closed the curtain by reminding trolls that their words will not hurt or break her, as she intends to enjoy her life in the coming years.
