Lourdes Leon, born in 1996, is the eldest child of Madonna and Carlos Leon. As the child of someone mega-famous, she has grown up with a constant interest in her life, so whenever she steps outside her home, there is usually a media presence.
We have seen celebrities get annoyed with the paparazzi before as they tell them where to shove it, shout expletives, or try to hide their face, like in Lourdes’s case. When Lourdes was photographed arriving at the NYFW Willy Chavarria Show on Wall Street, New York, she tried to hide from the cameras waiting to photograph the arrivals. Still, in doing this, she made the pictures even more interesting as she can be seen sporting “mom” and “dad” tattoos on her fingers.
Her decision suggests she has a close bond with her parents, and Madonna has spoken about Lourdes with great affection in previous interviews. “I’m green with envy because she’s incredible at everything she does – she’s an incredible dancer, she’s a great actress, she plays the piano beautifully, she’s way better than me in the talent department,” the singer told British Vogue in 2019.
Madonna also commented on the pressure Lourdes faces as her daughter. “I feel social media plagues her and makes her feel like, ‘People are going to give me things because I’m her daughter,’” she explained. “I try to give her examples of other children of celebrities like Zoë Kravitz, for instance, who have to work through that ‘Oh yeah, you’re the daughter of…’ – and then eventually you are taken seriously for what you do. You just have to keep going.”
Who Did Lourdes Leon Attend Fashion Week With?
Lourdes Leon is also close to her dad, and the fashion show was actually a time for them to hang out. The pair were later photographed together as they faced the cameras and smiled.
Lourdes’s attendance at the event makes sense because she is interested in fashion and even produced a Material Girl clothing line for juniors in 2010 (along with her mama) as part of a collaboration with Macy’s Herald Square in New York.
