Electronic Arts has been on top of the life sim scene with The Sims for several years, to the point where it’s starting to look like a monopoly. However, there may be a new rival in town, KRAFTON, which offers much more to fans of this genre, at least that’s what it seems like. This Korean company is getting ready as it has just made InZOI available to add to your wishlist on Steam and gives a hint of when the release date will be. If you’re looking forward to creating your own or your acquaintances’ version in a virtual world, you will have another option soon.
The first InZOI teaser was already nine months ago, and since then, the company hasn’t stopped surprising gamers. From the videos, fans are excited about the wide range of possibilities the game offers regarding actions, jobs, and, most striking, the beautiful graphics of the world and avatars. For those who want the game, InZOI has on its Steam page that its release date is Coming Soon. However, there is no specific date on Steam; inside the official Discord, the FAQ mentioned that KRAFTON is working to have the early access ready for “‘late 2024”. The company also announced the minimum system requirements:
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 10/11
- Processor: Intel i5 10400, AMD Ryzen 3600
- Memory: 12 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA RTX 2060 (8G VRAM), AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT
- DirectX: Version 12
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 60 GB available space
It also remains to be seen how InZOI plans to stay afloat financially. One of the options is for KRAFTON to bet on the live service model with paid Custom Content to monetize. Or that it also prefers to limit the objects or actions in “Expansion Packs,” as it happens in The Sims. In the meantime, don’t miss any updates on this Life Sim.
