An unnerving video is gaining attention on Reddit of a male karen who calls himself a marine following two kids home. The “marine” yells and curses at them, telling them to “come here.” The clip has drawn a lot of criticism, most of it in the direction of the so-called marine for his aggressive behavior.
The guy recording the video is on a motorbike which, at the start of the clip, passes in front of a truck at a junction. Obviously the male karen doesn’t think the truck has left enough space as he questions, “What are you doing?”
The truck drivers, who are little more than kids, don’t take kindly to the biker. They question what the male karen is looking at before driving off. You’d think the minor road rage encounter would end there. It takes a bizarre turn, however, when we see the biker quickly following the truck. Following it all the way to the kids’ home, it turns out.
The kids tell the biker to keep driving, but he’s having none of it. He gets off his bike and proceeds to intimidate the kids, spoiling for a fight. Bizarrely, the male karen even demands to know if the kids’ mom is home, perhaps because he knows he’s in the wrong. He doesn’t want to get caught intimidating kids. As one Redditor comments, “A grown man harassing 2 minors,” is pretty unnerving.
One of the kids has enough of the altercation, loudly yelling for the biker to “get the f*** off my property!” Incredibly, the biker responds with “I’m a marine, and that’s not how this works.” I mean, I’m pretty sure you can’t harass kids on their property, but what do I know? Sensibly, the kids go inside their house before the situation can escalate further.
Reddit was quick to point out how bizarre it is that this guy uploaded the video. He obviously think he’s in the right or his actions are justified. One commenter sees the funny side: “The fact that he even uploaded this is hilarious.” Another agreed, saying “the kid didn’t even do anything wrong.”
Much of the amusement, however, is directed at the male karen “marine” for using his supposed military status as justification for following two kids home and having a go at them. As one commenter pointed out, “He would be in deep s*** if his command saw this.”
