Man Casually Starts Inferno at Home, Hilariously Tackles It With Tiny Fire Extinguisher

Burn baby burn

An unintentionally hilarious video is getting Reddit chuckling as a man starts a raging fire outside his house. Bizarrely casually, he then tackles the blaze with a tiny fire extinguisher before, thankfully, getting the inferno under control.

Man starts his bike in front of his house
by inAbruptChaos

At the start of the clip, the man in question revs his motorbike. Somehow, this sets fire to an object on the ground. Hilariously, at first it seems he tries to blow out the fire. Then, as things go from bad to worse, he pulls out whatever is aflame and flaps at it ineffectually with a shirt or rag. Literally fanning the flames, as one Redditor pointed out. “Well you gotta fan the flames first so your dramatic heroics look even more heroic.”

This guy’s day gets even worse, however, when he attempts to pull the aflame object away from the bike. It leaves a fiery trail on the ground, which spreads further to the open-hooded truck behind.

At this point, as the flames rage, the man seems to realize he needs to do something more than flap at the fire. He disappears from view, hilariously returning with one of the smallest fire extinguishers imaginable. Reddit was quick to see the funny side. “Lol when he re-appears with the aerosol sized fire extinguisher,” one commenter joked. Predictably, the tiny extinguisher had little effect.

Just to compound the farcical scene, at this point a woman can be heard asking, “Stu, what are you doing?” Unfortunately, the guy is too busy unsuccessfully firefighting to meet the bizarre question with the sort of incredulous response it deserves. Eventually, the woman asks Stu if she should call 911. Perhaps that should have been the first instinct, but never mind. If that wasn’t funny enough, though, the guy urges the woman to hurry when calling the fire department. Her response? “What are you doing?” I mean, honestly.

As the fire continues to burn, the guy demands his car keys, urging the woman to hurry again. As if not quite appreciating the gravity of the situation, the lady cries, “Why?” I’m not an expert, but perhaps it has something to do with the inferno burning in your front yard. At any rate, the guy eventually gets hold of a fire extinguisher larger than a can of pop and manages to put out the fire. One commenter shared my amusement: “I loled at the end, because wait, HE HAD A FULL SIZED EXTINGUISHER THAT WHOLE TIME?!”

Although hilarious, the clip is a reminder of the importance of trying to stay calm if a fire breaks out. Also, it’s always a good idea to have a good fire extinguisher at hand. Ideally one larger than an aerosol spray can.
