I’m surprised that anyone purchases a Tesla product, considering all of the proof that they aren’t safe or built to last. There are countless videos of these vehicles breaking down on the road, suffering from parts that fall off, being unrepairable after a minor accident, and more. However, one Reddit user decided to test the Cybertruck’s ‘bulletproof’ feature and was met with a rather disappointing surprise.
A Reddit user named RoachedCoach posted a video of adult movie star Dante Colle in an open field, pointing a pistol at the back of his Cybertruck with the intention of shooting it. The car is a good ten feet away, at an angle, and Colle with the pistol is wearing protective headgear. Everything is set up to go completely smooth, until the bullet fires.
He didn’t have to worry about the bullet ricocheting or even denting the car at all, especially since the bullet just went directly through. It was that moment when he realized that the car is not, in fact, bulletproof. To make things better, whoever he was with just reiterated the fact while the former hid his face in his hands.
While the Cybertruck is listed as being bulletproof, that fact is limited to the windows around the car, not the body. Commenters went to the replies to question what was Colle’s thought process behind the whole act.
What I find to be the funniest aspect of all of this isn’t even on the video; it’s that I don’t think he will be able to exclusively get the trunk of the car replaced. Hopefully, he doesn’t have to worry about anyone trying to shoot at him while he drives to a dealership to explain what happened.
