Mariah Carey wasn’t too thrilled after she was placed in an uncomfortable situation during her recent interview. Despite trying to steer clear of talking about her ex-husband, Nick Cannon, she was put on the spot. So she delivered a short answer, to the point and borderline shady.
While sitting down on CBS Mornings, Mariah Carey, 56, was interviewed by Gayle King. King asked Mariah how she balances raising her 14-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan, with busy father of 12, Nick Cannon.

It was clear, according to Star, that Carey did not want to discuss Cannon. But after taking a long, and very noticeable pause, she responded to King’s question with a subtle dig.
“Hmmm,” she said, keeping her response brief. “I kinda feel like it’s best if I don’t talk about him because he can just be in his own world. No offense to him.”
Viewers quickly reacted on social media, many joking that Mariah summed up what others were thinking. One fan said she and Cannon weren’t even “in the same timeline.” Others praised her for avoiding his chaos.
Mariah Carey Seemingly Takes Aim At Nick Cannon
Tension between Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey has been high since their 2016 divorce. The drama continues, especially with Cannon having fathered 10 more children with five women. Even he admits his choices weren’t well considered.
Recently, Nick admitted having many kids was a “trauma response” to his divorce from Mariah. He thought his lifestyle would solve his problems, but it left more.

The Masked Singer host further explained that his 2016 divorce from pop superstar Mariah Carey left him reeling. Instead of slowing down and dealing with his trauma, Cannon admits he got too careless
I didn’t get a chance to slow down until I got in therapy… Then I looked up, 12 kids later, and I’m like, wow, I could have did things very differently,” according to Nick Cannon.
As for Mariah Carey, it seems like attempting to dodge the question wasn’t just smart, it was calculated. She’s worked decades to craft her image, and attaching herself to Nick Cannon’s “serial baby daddy” drama is a big no.
It isn’t part of her plans. Instead, keeping her words brief and seemingly shady is working in her favor. Instead of coming across as a bitter ex, she let the internet do the talking for her. The only issue, her fans are happily filling in all the blanks, their way.
