It seems that with all the recent technological advancements, space travel has been a hot topic these last few years. From getting rovers onto the surface of Mars to learning of the world beyond our solar system, there’s a lot of new information that just keeps coming. While the majority of us likely don’t plan to be part of these research teams, let alone go into astronomy, there is one way we can experience it ourselves. Mars Horizon, the newest title from publisher The Irregular Corporation, releases November 17 for PC, PS4,
Mars Horizon has you taking control of a new space agency, with the single goal of landing on the surface of Mars. You’ll use the resources at your disposal to build up facilities and research new technologies in pursuit of this end goal. Be careful though, as overusing or underusing the funds and supplies you have could lead to some catastrophic effects. Given other space agencies are vying for that same goal, you’ll have to be methodical to reach Mars before them. Will your space agency come out on top?
It’ll be great to see Mars Horizon finally touch down on consoles and PC next month. The Irregular Corporation is known for putting out some great simulators, so I don’t doubt they’ll make this one great. So far, Mars Horizon promises some great management simulation along with turn-based gameplay to create a sense of urgency. It’ll be interesting to see how they bring turn-based into a genre such as this, but I’m remaining optimistic.
For now, I want to hear your thoughts on Mars Horizon. Will you be purchasing the game on November 17? What about it stands out to you the most? Let me know in the comments below!
