It appears that an Ironheart movie may be in the early stages of development at Marvel Studios. According to The Black List, screenwriter Jada Rodriguez has already created a script for the rumored film.
IRONHEART by Jada Rodriguez was one of the best scripts our readers read last week. https://t.co/cGkwm9RLOW pic.twitter.com/O1khyMnqvO

The Black List is essentially a list of some of the most well-liked unmade screenplays in the movie business. Now I’m sure some of you are already thinking that this doesn’t mean anything. Well, according to The Hashtag Show, this could mean one of two things:
“We’ve been unable to get any comment on the project from Marvel Studios, so we’re left with more questions than answers at this time. We were told by another screenwriter that in order for Rodriguez to write the script, one of two things had to have happened: she had to own the IP or be commissioned to write the script.”
I’m pretty sure she doesn’t own the rights to Iron Man or Ironheart so that only leaves us with the latter option.
For those of you who are unaware of this new hero, Riri Williams is a 15-year-old engineering student at M.I.T. who is inspired by Iron Man. By reverse engineering one of Iron Man’s old suits, Riri creates her own and begins fighting crime. Shortly thereafter, she is discovered by Tony Stark and Pepper Potts but the two actually give Riri their endorsement (along with a cool Tony Stark A.I) in her decision to become a superhero.
Williams would eventually take the Iron mantle in 2016’s Invincible Iron Man comic series and don the name Ironheart.
