If you believed in or spread rumors about our favorite superhero family, then prepare to feel vindicated. Marvel Studios is celebrating Valentine’s Day by announcing the Fantastic Four cast, which features Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm/Invisible Woman), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm/The Thing), and Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm/Human Torch). The studio posted a wholesome image of the cast in character as they enjoy the romantic holiday (seen below).
Much of the cast was either confirmed or rumored to star. Pedro Pascal was the only one officially reported to star in Fantastic Four. The other stars have been rumored for a long time. Some of them were confronted in interviews, in which they had to dodge the bullets as Marvel is known for training everyone not to reveal its plans.
Finally, Rumors Have Been Put to Rest As the Fantastic Four Cast Gets Announced
The film will be a major opportunity for director Matt Shakman, who has spent his career helming popular TV shows like It’s Always Sunny. He debuted in the MCU by directing WandaVision. His feature film was originally penned by Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer, and the latest draft is being written by Avatar writer Josh Friedman.
Rumors had been running rampant for years for the film. The Fantastic Four cast had been guessed to include actors like Adam Driver and John Krasinski. People were getting confident that the Fantastic Four would hire Joseph Quinn, Vanessa Kirby, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, but without confirmation, speculation ballooned online.
Release dates have constantly shifted due to the strikes and the need to finalize deals with the Fantastic Four cast. It has a new release date of July 25, 2025. Its previous May 5 slot has been placed for Thunderbolts to catch the end of spring and transition into summer.
