Marvel’s Avengers drops on September 1 for those who purchased the special digital exclusive and deluxe editions.
To make sure that those who get to play the game on Tuesday are getting the best version they can, Crystal Dynamics announced it has dropped its day one patch. While the release date is technically September 4, this patch went live earlier on Monday to prepare for those taking advantage of the special preorders.
After weeks of betas, the full version of Marvel’s Avengers has actually been live for several hours for gamers who live in Australia and New Zealand.
What’s included in the full day one patch is below:
As previously mentioned in our blog earlier this week, the Day One Patch is required to download in order to play the game. This contains many issues that were raised during the Beta as long as other fixes that needed to be implemented.
- Improvements to matchmaking
- Additional fixes for issues where characters would go out of the environment
- Additional UI fixes
- Additional performance improvements
Marvel’s Avengers developers also made mention of several different fixes they added to the game thanks to the feedback from those multiple betas.
If that wasn’t big enough news, the company also used the feedback beta for another planned patch that is going to offer a feature most of the gaming public said the title needed more than anything else.
Crystal Dynamics is going to add in a feature that will allow players to ping loot. This kind of thing has become a staple in multiplayer loot-shooters for a while now and there was some angst around a game that has as much loot as Marvel’s Avengers does without a way for your teammates to find it.
While it doesn’t appear reviews have gone live ahead of the September 1 launch of Marvel’s Avengers, you can check out what critics are saying.
