After secrecy and rumors of a new Marvel game, it seems that they are finally ready to announce it. While the upcoming Marvel game only received a CG trailer, there’s still plenty of new information. With 2K Games and Firaxis taking the helm of this new tactical RPG, the reveal trailer certainly leaves some interesting mystery. With many other games featuring turn-based strategy combat, it seems only logical that other properties would follow suit. Confirming some rumors, Marvel is the latest inclusion to the turn-based strategy genre. Today at Gamescom Opening Night Live, 2K Games announced a new strategy game, Marvel’s Midnight Suns.

What Has Marvel’s Midnight Suns Reveal Trailer Shown So Far?

While details are definitely still sparse, the trailer did give interesting hints on what’s to come. The trailer features the new character hero, Hunter, who will act as an avatar for the player. Featured prominently are some of Marvel’s most popular heroes with Wolverine and Iron Man representing each respective team of characters. With the Opening Night Live trailer featuring a healthy roster, fans can only hope to see more of Marvel’s cast of heroes join the fight. Set to launch in March of 2022, there’s still plenty of time until fans can get a full perspective. With Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle selling over seven million copies, many other IPs are following the genre trend. While the gameplay and setting have still yet to be showcased, fans should look forward to an in-depth turn-based strategy title in this universe. While we may not have news on what the full gameplay reveal will bring, it seems that Marvel is looking for a wide reach with all the simultaneous launches. With PC and both generation consoles considered, Marvel’s Midnight Suns will be playable on all platforms next March.
