Anyone with a PS4 might remember that Marvel’s Spider-Man was one of the best titles to launch on that console. Not only was it one of the greatest superhero games ever made, but it was also one of the best Spider-Man stories out there. While Spider-Man: Miles Morales felt more like a DLC and a way to showcase the power of the PS5, it was also a fantastic title to play. Anyone who owned the deluxe edition could play an upgraded version of the first game. The developers have announced that Spider-Man Remastered is finally getting a standalone release this month.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered Is Getting a Standalone Release in May
The standalone release of Marvel’s Spider-Man is set for May 2023, with no official date yet. This version will cost $49.99, yet, if you own any of the PS4 versions, you’ll only have to pay $10. Previously, the only way to get the PS5 version of the game was by purchasing the deluxe edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. It is nice to finally have the game by itself, even if it has a price tag. If you don’t own the game yet, you’ll have to pay more to enjoy its next-gen features.

It is important to note that those who have the game through PS Plus won’t get the $10 price for the upgrade. The standalone release and upgrade for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered only applies if you’ve bought it before. So yes, bad news for anyone who has played the game through Sony’s game catalog. Yet, it is not too bad. You can continue playing the PS4 version with the amazing story, combat, and exploration. But, if you want to try the game with next-gen features, this is your chance to get the standalone version of Spider-Man Remastered.
